Glory Days

I haven't been updating My Refinery for awhile because of some pretty intense school work. But now that my ship has entered a lull in this on-going storm, I have finally found the time to pause for a moment and think about what lies ahead on my journey.

Well for one thing, I'll be done with my last (ever) semester in a matter of 3 weeks. Then of course comes graduation in June. It's a bittersweet feeling knowing that the days of my student life are numbered.

I can't help but feel that these final moments are our "Glory Days".

Knowing that whatever time I have left in school is fleeting, I have made it a personal resolution to make the most of it. I'm going to do what I have always wanted to do before I officially become unemployed.

To end this post, I'd like to quote Neil Gaiman's line in one of his short stories. He says that "Time is fluid here." One part of me wishes time really would be liquid for me in school so I could stay forever but another part of me wants to get this over with and start working right away in order to get closer to my dream.

Again, I'd like to say "Time is fluid here."

(The following photos somehow remind me of what is to come and what I may have to leave behind.)

The light at the end of the tunnel. So close.

I got my head in the clouds. Trees I mean. I've got my head in the trees.

Here's the unedited shot for those of you who don't like text in your photos :)
